“Our lady of the way”, patron of Monteagudo, is the name that in 1954 this winery’s founders chose; a group of small local wine-growers. Nowadays this winery elaborates high quality wines and is really into wine process investigation, to get the best profit from its most valued good: its vineyards. These "Garnacha" and "Tempranillo" vineyards are the oldest in this region. The founders decided to use the autochthonous grape varieties and the hand-made tradition. The result are a few authentic, different wines, which are commercialized under the brands of: "Conde de Aroiz", "Viña Riñanco", "Montitura", "Pedro de Ivar" and "Pedro Ibar Prestigio".
The visit through this winery's facilities allows the visitor to check out the details of every stage in the elaboration of these wines: the reception of the grapes, the elaboration depending on the different varieties, the filling of barrels and its later bottling. After the explanatory walk we arrive at the tasting room, where different wines are discussed and tasted.
