This place, unique in Europe, shapes the most typical landscape of the Bank of
Navarra "la Ribera". Its enormous desert space, with strange shapes
created by nature throughout the centuries, is undoubtedly one of the biggest
attractions of this region. The activities we can enjoy in the "Bardenas
Reales" Park can be cycling, hiking, trekking and even horse trails or
motor vehicle routes. The total area consists of 42.500 hectares and its
appearance is due to the erosion of geological materials (clays, gypsum and
sand) by wind and rain. It is a peculiar desert, an extraordinary, amazing
landscape, where many advertising spots and movie scenes have been shot.
