In Murchante we can find the Church of "Nuestra señora de la
Asunción", of "churrigueresco" style (over
decorated baroque). It was built in 1700, though restored in 1952. Its interior
contains a really beautiful set of vaults and ribs. In the altarpiece there is
a beautiful sculpture: The Christ of "la Siembra", carved by the
artist Juan de Biniés. The images “The Christ of "la cruz a
cuestas"" and " The Christ of the enagüillas ", dated
from the 17th century, have recently been restored.
